Major Projects Department
The Major Projects Department within Technical Directorate is responsible for the implementation of major projects of a strategic nature and is currently executing several mega projects of national strategic and economic importance. The current multi-billion Qatari Riyal projects include: the Common Cooling Water Project at Ras-Laffan – designed to supply approximately 1 Million cubic meters of Cooling Water to various Industries at Ras-Laffan Industrial City, the Ras-Laffan Port Expansion Project at Ras-Laffan through which approximately 30% of world demand for LNG & LPG Products will be transported to various parts of the world, the Sulphur Recovery Project at Messaied to improve the sulphur recovery efficiency to 99.5% in order to comply with the State of Qatar Environmental Regulation, the Acid Gas Recovery Project at Dukhan to meet the additional future requirements of sweet gas supplies, and the Qatar Petroleum Complex Project at Lusail for the delivery of a modern culturally influenced purpose built Head Office Complex for Qatar Petroleum.

- Lead Process Engineer (EME)
- BSc. Chemical Engineering graduate of an internationally recognized University.
15 Years of Oil & Gas Industry experience with an international consultancy company, EPIC contractor or end user in the field of process design/engineering and start-up of oil & gas processing facilities; gas sweetening plant and sulphur recovery units. Experience shall include Concept optimization studies; FEED & Detailed engineering development and handling of various process packages like amine package; glycol package; flare package; water treatment package; incinerator package. The candidate should have worked for a minimum of 5 years as a lead engineer in a design environment with an Engineering Design Consultant or EPIC Contractor or holding a similar position. The candidate shall be fully familiar, with hands on capability, on various process design software’s and industry codes & standards. Work experience in the Arabian Gulf Countries is desirable.
